Accessory or Gadget

What is the difference between an accessory and a gadget? I believe the answer lies within who you are asking and specifically - which gender. I use the word gender because in the definition of the word I identify more as a male than a female even though I have the anatomy of a woman.

Female definition-
Accessory - a necessity - purses, shoes, hats and jewelry - these are the main accessories
Gadget - toys for men - tools, gps, all sports equipment, video games - $ could be better spent on accessories!

Male definition-
Accessory - weights for a weight set, bat, ball & glove so you can play baseball, blades for saws so you can actually use the saw to build some gadget the woman wants. GPS so the woman doesn't get lost and ask some stranger for directions.
Gadget - video games, for the kids of course and I have to learn to play so I can teach them - it also will help them in school for learning and improves hand/eye coordination for the phys ed class.

So this is how I broke it down - have a great week!
